  3. 04/27/2017 — Ryan throws 13 K, 2-hitter to help keep Braves at the top of section.

2016 Highlights:

  1. 04/07/2016 — Sabrina ranked the #1 high school pitcher in Pennsylvania in strikeouts on MaxPreps Pennsylvania Softball Stat Leaders with 70 K's in her first 5 games.
  2. 04/08/2016 — Braves blank Blazers as Ryan contributes on both sides of the field throwing the 14-K, complete-game shutout also hitting a triple and a home run.
  3. 04/18/2016 — Ryan throws 14-strikeout no-hitter, shutting out ELCO while also hitting .750 with 4 RBIs, a double and a triple.
  4. 05/04/2016 — Ryan throws perfect game for Pequea Valley.
  5. 05/10/2016 — Sabrina Ryan's hit delivers 3-2 extra-inning victory for Pequea Valley, also throws 19 K's.
  6. 05/11/2016 — Sabrina selected among PA's finest to pitch in the 2016 Carpenter Cup.
  7. 05/26/2016 — Ryan, Pequea Valley eliminate A-C, 2-0.
  8. 05/31/2016 — #1 District seed couldn't solve Pequea Valley pitcher Sabrina Ryan, who dealt the Bullets their first shutout in 30 games.
  9. 06/06/2016 — Sabrina Ryan racked up 16 strikeouts against the District 12 champs in the first round of PIAA Class AA states.
  10. 06/09/2016 — Ryan sets new Lancaster-Lebanon softball record for total strikeouts in a single high school season with 281, and takes over first place for the walks to strikeouts category at 1-to-14.8.
  11. 06/23/2016 — Sabrina and Berks/LL team win the 2016 Carpenter Cup and make history, as the Berks/LL team has never won the Carpenter Cup before.
    Sabrina only gave up 1 run in all 5 games she pitched. In 4 of the games she shut out all the batters she faced (1 game was a perfect 3 innings). She had a total of 23 K's in her combined 16 innings, including the championship.

 

2015 Highlights:

  1. 03/24/2015 — Ryan and Braves Hold Off Visiting Octorara 2-1, striking out over half of the Octorara batters she faced, fanning 11 in seven.
  2. 04/28/2015 — Pequea Valley Braves top Manheim Central in 11 innings with the help of Ryan's game tying hit in the 7th, while tossing the 13-strikeout complete-game.
  3. 05/01/2015 — Sabrina Ryan helps Pequea strike A-C's chance to clinch the section title with a 15-strikeout, complete-game shutout.
  4. 05/04/2015 — 11 more strikeouts for the strong, accurate PV Ace as Braves dominate visiting Columbia 11-1.
  5. 05/07/2015 — Section Four championship game "Star of the game" nod for Ryan.
  6. 05/12/2015 — Sophomore Pitcher Sabrina Ryan of Pequea Valley makes Section Four's All-Star list.
  7. 05/15/2015 — Ryan finishes 2015 Varsity season with over 150 K's, averaging nearly 2 strikeouts an inning!

Sabrina Ryan Pitching

Sabrina Ryan started playing girls fastpitch softball at the age of 8, started pitching at age 9. Over the years she developed a passion for playing softball. She is 5'7" tall, bats right, throws right. In the fall and winter of 2014 Ryan trained with and played for TNT Gold 18u traveling to many out-of-state tournaments including Orlando, FL and Huntington Beach, CA. Ryan currently plays for theWildcats Gold 18u out of Washington Township, NJ. In December 2016 Ryan committed to play softball for Franklin & Marshall College, which is ranked nationally in the top 50 on the Forbes America's Top Colleges list.

2016 Phillies Softball Carpenter Cup Champs


Ryan and Berks/LL softball girls recognized on Phillies jumbotron for Carpenter Cup win

Congratulations to Berks/Lancaster Lebanon, the 2016 Softball Carpenter Cup Champions! Berks/LL went undefeated throughout the entire Carpenter Cup tournament and in the championship game defeated Tri-Cape 9-1 to claim the title.

This very talented group of athletes made history in 2016, as Berks/LL had never won the Carpenter Cup before. They went undefeated 5-0, staying in the winners' bracket the entire tournament while playing against all-star teams from Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.

Carpenter Cup rules only allow a pitcher to pitch a maximum of 4 innings per game. Sabrina was the closing pitcher for every game only giving up 1 run in all 5 games she pitched, also throwing 10 K's in 4 innings against Philadelphia Catholic.
